Who we are
Withivo (“we”, “us”) is a United Kingdom social availability service at withivo.com. We help people find others who are free at the same time and make simple plans. Contact: info@withivo.com.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed).
- Profile choices you give us: city/area, age range, work sector, bio, hangout style, interests, distance preference.
- Availability: weekdays or dates you mark free, “free today”, weekend travel preference.
- Location: only if you ask us to detect it, or the city you choose. We do not sell live GPS tracks.
- Messages and plan details you send inside Withivo.
- Safety reports, blocks, and admin actions needed to keep the community safe.
- Technical logs: IP address, device/browser type, approximate time of requests — for security and reliability.
- Waitlist email and optional city if you join from the landing page.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account.
- To show matching people and events near you, based on availability and preferences.
- To send service emails (verification, password reset, important account notices).
- To prevent abuse, spam, and unsafe behaviour.
- To improve Withivo (aggregated, not sold as advertising profiles).
Legal bases under UK GDPR typically include: contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (safety, security, product improvement), and consent where we ask for it (for example optional location detection).
Who can see what
Other members may see the profile and availability information you choose to show for matching. Private messages stay between participants and Withivo operators when needed for safety or support. We do not sell your personal data.
Processors
We use trusted providers to host the site, send email, and keep the service online. They process data only on our instructions. If that list changes, we will keep this policy accurate.
How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data that we no longer need, except where we must keep limited records for legal, security, or dispute reasons (for example bans or serious reports).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, and request a portable copy where applicable. You can delete your account in Profile. For other requests email info@withivo.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
Withivo is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the service.
Changes
We may update this policy as Withivo grows. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after a meaningful update means you accept the revised policy; we will call out major changes by email when we can.
